The time has come for my monthly portfolio update. At the end of every month, I will update my portfolio and comment on any changes. I do that for accountability and also so you may glean some ideas on how I allocate my capital. You have the opportunity to learn from what I do well, so you can do the same, as well as what I do poorly, so you will not have to repeat my mistakes.

This month, I initiated new position in GWW and added to my positions in AZO and CAH near 52-week low. I might have bought GWW and AZO too soon, as they continued falling after I made my purchases. The rest of my purchases are part of my monthly investment plans and DRIP.

During May, my net worth increased 0.65% to $979,822.82, mainly due to net cash inflows (0.64%). P/L (0.01%) was essentially unchanged. My net worth is inching toward the $1 mil milestone.

While my return was still positive (just barely) this month, it trailed the index badly. So I find myself trailing the index YTD once again. Not very good, but it's a close race so I still have time to catch up during the rest of the year.
