Purchases

This month was by far the biggest in terms of trading activity, as I took advantage of the fast and furious COVID bear market to harvest losses and reinvest the proceeds to buy stocks on sale. 

I made an unprecedented 47 stocks buys this month, including 7 new buys to include 2 airlines (UAL and SAVE), 2 cruises (NCLH and RCL), 1 taxi (UBER), 1 energy ((OXY), and 1 small cap fund (FZIPX), all of which dropped a lot more than than overall market and should rebound sharply once the crisis is over.

The smaller dollar amount of my purchases are part of my monthly investment plans and DRIPs.

Sales

I sold a ton of stocks ($157,720.02 net proceeds) that either showed losses to harvest or paid a large dividend (>3%) to reduce my future tax liabilities. My current annual projected dividend of $15k is now significantly less than $19k last month. This will save me a ton of taxes over time. Thank you COVID BEAR!! A bear market is really the investor's godsend tax break.

If the sell-off continues, I will continue selling high dividend payers and reinvest in no or low dividend stocks to reduce taxes.
