The time has come for my monthly portfolio update. At the end of every month, I will update my portfolio and comment on any changes. I do that for accountability and also so you may glean some ideas on how I allocate my capital. You have the opportunity to learn from what I do well, so you can do the same, as well as what I do poorly, so you will not have to repeat my mistakes.

Purchases
This month was interesting. I was forced to buy back 200 EDZ short position at $15.04 as my broker was unable to meet delivery obligation for the security. I locked in a profit of $2506.42, which is not bad but I would have preferred to let my profits ride here. I put in limit orders to sell 200 EDZ again at a higher price but EDZ has traded down since.
Last month, I had sold an out of the money covered put option on FOSL at 15.5 when it was trading close to $18, then again another out of the money covered put option at 12 when the stock fell to around $13. I thought those were great prices to get in on FOSL, but unfortunately FOSL kept free falling and dropped below $9, now recovered a bit to $10.35, but both put options I sold went solidly in the money and forced me to buy the stock at high prices in retrospect. I have now paid over $10k for my total position in FOSL worth $5403, a 50% loss. I don't think I have appetite to buy anymore of the stock at this point.
I also picked up some more XOM, AZO, GWW, SAM, BBBY and ORLY near 52-week low. These are high quality stocks that should recover eventually.
The rest of the purchases are part of monthly investment plans.
Sales
The fractional shares left in my loyal3 account were finally liquidated, totally around $930. Only whole shares were transferred to another brokerage account. In addition, I shorted more 3x leveraged inverse ETFs in ERY, DPK, and TZA. These will trend toward zero.
Here is how my assets, liabilities, and net worth have changed over the past month:
During June, my net worth increased 1.98% to $999,181.64, mainly due to net cash inflows (1.39%), in addition to P/L (0.59%). My net worth is getting so close the $1 mil milestone. Unless stocks drop precipitously within the next 30 days, I should reach it next month.

So far, during the first half of the year I am slightly trailing the index. I had 3 good months and 3 bad months, but unfortunately the good months were not enough to overcome the bad ones. Hopefully the second half of the year will be better for me. I plan on a mid-year review in another post. Stay tuned!

Purchases
This month was interesting. I was forced to buy back 200 EDZ short position at $15.04 as my broker was unable to meet delivery obligation for the security. I locked in a profit of $2506.42, which is not bad but I would have preferred to let my profits ride here. I put in limit orders to sell 200 EDZ again at a higher price but EDZ has traded down since.
Last month, I had sold an out of the money covered put option on FOSL at 15.5 when it was trading close to $18, then again another out of the money covered put option at 12 when the stock fell to around $13. I thought those were great prices to get in on FOSL, but unfortunately FOSL kept free falling and dropped below $9, now recovered a bit to $10.35, but both put options I sold went solidly in the money and forced me to buy the stock at high prices in retrospect. I have now paid over $10k for my total position in FOSL worth $5403, a 50% loss. I don't think I have appetite to buy anymore of the stock at this point.
I also picked up some more XOM, AZO, GWW, SAM, BBBY and ORLY near 52-week low. These are high quality stocks that should recover eventually.
The rest of the purchases are part of monthly investment plans.
Sales
The fractional shares left in my loyal3 account were finally liquidated, totally around $930. Only whole shares were transferred to another brokerage account. In addition, I shorted more 3x leveraged inverse ETFs in ERY, DPK, and TZA. These will trend toward zero.

During June, my net worth increased 1.98% to $999,181.64, mainly due to net cash inflows (1.39%), in addition to P/L (0.59%). My net worth is getting so close the $1 mil milestone. Unless stocks drop precipitously within the next 30 days, I should reach it next month.

So far, during the first half of the year I am slightly trailing the index. I had 3 good months and 3 bad months, but unfortunately the good months were not enough to overcome the bad ones.
