I do that for accountability and also so you may glean some ideas on how I allocate my capital. Purchases

October was another strong month of market gains, as the market priced in the Fed's mid cycle adjustment lowering interest rates for a third time. As the market headed for a new high, there were few stocks selling at attractive prices, so I did not end up buying too much.

I did add to several stocks that remained near 52-week lows, such as IRBT and CNC.

The other purchases are part of my monthly investment plans and DRIPs.

Sales

Schwab announced the elimination of trading commissions this month, and I took the opportunity to sell BCS and TSCDY that were low value positions stuck in my Schwab account because the commission in selling them would have been a large percentage of the trade. My timing was bad, though, as both stocks rocketed higher after I sold. 

My overall portfolio dividend yield of 1.37% is now lower than the market. My goal in the future is to continue lowering this further by replacing dividend stocks with zeros to minimize my tax liability. Stock market downturn is a good opportunity for me to replace high dividend payers with no or low paying ones.
